I also flushed my transmission twice. Last Thursday was the second flush. My shudder has improved 90% after the first flush around 12,000 miles. It got better over time. I decided a second flush might be a good idea with 16,000 miles. I have a 2019 canyon with a build date of 07/19 and so far transmission is flawless shifting is great. I did have the stabilitrak issue and my body control module had to be replaced and after that truck so far been great. I have close to 2k miles on it and drive it 70 miles a day to work.

Aug 13, 2019 · A transmission flush using a new fluid may finally fix the shudders and harsh shifts of GM's 8-speed gearboxes. I have a 2017 Colorado. I had the torque converter changed in 2018 with all this shudder mess and then the full fluid flush per the TSB a couple years ago. I now have 49,500 miles on the truck and bought it just under 5 years ago. It now has a slight shudder again, only at really low RPM (~1200) when rolling back into the gas up a hill.So I bought a used 2020 denali last week. Build date is january 2020, before the new transmission fluids were put in at factory, according to a post I'd seen here. But on the test drive and since purchase there is no sign of shudder what so ever. So am I in the clear, or may still develop a shudder? ….

The new trans fluid seems to fix almost all of them depending on converter damage or not. The shifting can be programing in the TCM, There is a relearn process for the 8l45.I have a 2016 GMC Canyon Diesel and I love it, but about a week ago I got the dreaded shudder, but only when shifting from 2nd to 3rd. If your truck was built after March 1, 2019, then it should have the new fluid, which (so far that I've seen) is helping a lot with the shudder. Crazy to think that just the type of fluid is having this much of an effect. In 2017 they changed the transmission from the 6 speed to the 8 speed.
