I noticed when turning the car on there is a notice saying RAB off. So I just figured it was turned off. In the owners manual it tells how to check whether it is on or or by looking at the head unit display when putting the car in reverse. There it shows RAB on and the sound on.RAB issue! So I just got my brand new 2020 subaru Ascent. I have had it for about 2 months no issues till now. So I just backed out from an empty parking lot no cars around at 711 and my RAB sensor went off beeped yellow on the screen and breaked it self. It did that three times and even at a stop light with no cars around.

It could be as simple as the gas cap was not secured properly to anything more serious. (There are several thousand codes that trip the check engine light - all with varying ranges of severity).
