I prefer a single dot personally. I own both, but still have the 507k on single dot mode. Keep in mind the battery life is 50000 hours for single dot and drops to 10000 hours on circle dot mode if that matters to you. 407k is cheaper if you don't want the circle. Holosun 407K and 507K models are quite problematic because they do not have rear sockets, while the front ones are shallower. For this reason, the adapters have to be modified in some way unless they are designed specifically for 407/507K.
