Since 2016, the Watkins Genealogy Group has held engaging classes aimed at informing a wide range of family historians from novice to experienced. These classes are taught by genealogy expert Alisa Branham. The group's emphasis on history and context makes them a great partner to the museum, which provides a meeting space and staff support ...This guided tour focuses on the Watkins Museum at 10th and Massachusetts Street. Guests will enter and explore the building designed in the late 19th century. Tours are guided by award winning KU Historian, Brenna Buchanan. Tours range from 2 to 5 hours in length and require light walking, some stairs, and standing.
