Turn the ignition off and back on and it's fine. After the first time I cleaned then blanket the egr drilling a 5mm hole inthe plate as mine is the euro 4 later model.664 posts · Joined 2013. #4 · Oct 25, 2014. I had your exact same issue on my 2014 2.0. Floored car, lights come on, went into limp mode. Turn it off then on again, lights are out and everything works normal and no codes.

My immediate fix is turning the key to the on position (not cranking the engine); once the tuner fires up I go menu>diagnostics>continue>clear DTC's; then crank the engine. Ok so I have a 2018 Escape Titanium 2.0L which the check engine light came on. Had the codes pulled, and it was the VVC solenoid. The vehicle actually went into limp mode.
