Hull Pottery Company started as A. E. Hull Pottery Company in 1905, and changed to Hull Pottery Company about 1952, operating in Crooksville, Ohio until 1986. "H" in a circle was an early Hull mark, and "hull" without a capital "H" was a late mark. Hull Art was hand-painted pottery.According to some, Louise Bauer (designer of the famous Hull Little Red Riding Hood line) designed the daisy and dot pattern. Hull is said to have produced the pastel colored pieces: ball pitchers, teapots, tumblers, plain cups and oblong ashtrays marked Marcrest.
