I have a few N4’s and they’re nice guns. DD is legit and basically every bit as good as a Noveske. The Noveske name and lore was built on the personality of John long before there was a flood of other manufacturers, like BCM, DD, etc. They tend to use more off-the-shelf parts now, like AGM triggers, etc.In this case, the rifle boasts a Noveske lower and Daniel Defense upper with a Bravo Company handguard and gunfighter charging handle. Colt 6920s are a lot easier to find than the rest of them, but I went with BCM because I wanted a mid length. Had to buy the BCM lower from Grant at G&R Tactical and the upper directly from BCM. The new RIS III rail is the backbone of the RIII lineup, and it’s absolutely up to par with the Daniel Defense name. Although we only got a brief look at the DD4 RIII, the rigidity, accuracy, lightweight, and increased versatility speak well of the new series. As you can see, there is very little difference between the two options. Both use quality parts set to a quality standard. However their greatest difference is price. New, the Daniel Defense rifle comes in nearer to $2000 USD per rifle while the BCM MID 16 barely gets over $1000 USD.
